Well, she is done! She did wake up enough for a freezie, but is still feeling out of it. Everything went well, thank you God! Her face is swollen and the tissue expanders are quite evident. We know all of you are praying hard for us and we thank you for this. We ask for your prayers for Nathan and I as we are already dealing with how much her face has changed. This morning, before her surgery, I took a picture of her and it all of a sudden hit me that that is the last picture of her face this way.....a beautiful face that we are used to. We know her face is still beautiful, but the changes are happening quickly and it can be difficult to take it all in for us.
We are all resting in her room, which is 8C69. We have our own room, bathroom, and free tv! So we are going to make the best of it!
So thankful with you & for you that this part is successfully behind you. Enjoy your cuddle time with all it's new busyness! Praise God!

Dear Raven
DeleteThank you for the colourful picture! It is hanging on my wall. I am feeling great!! I am happy to be home now with all my toys and to be with my baby brother.
Love, Keziah
We too praise God for the successful surgery! We wish you much strength and patience for the time to come, also as you adjust to the changes that will occur. What a comfort it is to know that the Great Shepherd looks after His little lambs!

I thought about you often this morning!!! Looking at the clock, counting down the hours.... So glad for Keziah and you that this part is over and that it went so well. May God give you much strength in the days ahead. If a kiss doesn't hurt too much give her one from me!! Love to you all Jackie
ReplyDeleteWe praise God with you now that He brought you safely through the surgery! We will continue to pray that He will grant you the strength you need in the days, weeks and months ahead. What a beautiful picture of Keziah you have used for this blog, those beautiful brown eyes, those eyes will always be the same. Look straight into those eyes and pray when you feel weak and we know God will carry you through!

We hope you had a restful night and pray for a good day today. In some ways yesterday was the easy part and now the journey really begins! Lincoln is doing wonderfully well - since he can't do hugs and kisses, he's sending you smiles and coos.
